SANCTUS SONORENSIS

Sanctus Sonorensis is a limited-edition artist's book that uses the language of sacred texts to examine the humanitarian and political crisis of undocumented immigration across the US–Mexico border. Bound as an oversized board book with gilded edges and rounded corners, it is structured around a series of "border beatitudes" layered over 90 pages of seamless, panoramic photographs — a single 24-hour cycle from dawn to dusk in the lethal Sonoran Desert near Lukeville, Arizona.
